Summer Fun!

School is almost out and I am trying to "gear up" for all the kids being home every day. Here are the best ideas I have found for activities to keep you busy!


The National Park Service is offering (3) "fee-free" weekends to over 300 National Parks this Summer. Check out more details and the parks which are participating here. You can hit any of these parks June 20-21, July 18-19 and August 15-16 absolutely free!


Home Depot: Make a Hardware Sorter from 9 AM -12 PM on Saturday, June 6. And make a Picnic Caddy on Saturday July 4. This is for kids ages 5-12. Call your local store to register. Make sure to be on time since supplies are on a first come, first serve basis. Details HERE.

Lowes: Make a Putting Green from 10-11 AM on Saturday, June 13. Or make a pirate ship on Saturday June 27 from 10-11 AM. Make sure to be on time since supplies are on a first come, first serve basis. Click here to sign up.

Regal Free Movies - Free Family Film Festival : Regal theatres is offering the Free Family Film Festival for nine weeks for kids and parents. Movies start at 10 a.m. each Tuesday and Wednesday on a first-come, first-serve basis for nine weeks during the summer months. Beginning and ending dates of the festival depends on location. Tickets for our 2009 Free Family Film Festival are exclusively available at select theatres’ box office on the day of the show.
