I had a difficult time using my doublers yesterday. I went to Albies and the first transaction went fine. Then on all of the ones after that, my preferred card would not scan or would come up invalid or something. So, they would have to enter a different #. Then the $3 off when you spend $10 or part. products, would not ring up. They cashier had to manually enter this. When I went back thru the line, w/ new cashier, they did not want to manually enter. The assist. mgr came over and said that because I was using coupons and the price was below $10 it would not come off. It was a very frustrating trip. Seems like things are changing. Has anyone else had this experience?

The Albertson's on Gage in TriCities told me yesterday you can only do one transaction at a time - go to the car - come back etc. I had before now if they weren't busy been able to do up to 3 transactions in a row. But apparently someone yesterday came in and did 17 transactions and the manager Cliff informed checkers that one at a time is it now. I think he also manages the one on Clearwater. Just thought I would give a heads up. I have tried very hard not to over do the transactions, but I have done the 3 at a time because I drive up from Oregon to shop. Otherwise I would have no problem making multiple trips to my local Albertsons.

That is AWESOME!

JeanetteM,
That is such a BUMMER...I feel for you! I have never run into issues at the Gage store but I try not to do more then 3 trans at at time, and thats ONLY when they arent busy. When I was at the Lee Blvd (I usually shop at the Lee Blvd or Pasco store) on Mon night, the checker, who was SUPER NICE, told me that they just had a lady come in and do like 10 trans and they were really frustrated cause it is so time consuming for them, but they let me do my 3 trans just fine. Its frustrating to me that this "17 transaction" couponer is going to give us other "modest couponers" a bad name. We have to work together and try not to abuse the system. We dont want them to take the dbls away, that would be a VERY sad day in the couponing world! :)

Actually..I did each and every one of my transactions ONE AT A TIME. This was all in 3 different shopping ventures. It took FOREVER. But it was worth it. :)

mdnaef: That is so strange..were you going throught the self check? Just wondering because the two I did through self check did not minus the $3 promo stuff. I had to have them fixed. Every other transaction went through beautifully. Sorry you had such a rotten time. That assist mgr was wrong..you CAN use coupons and still get the instant savings..grrrr. Sometimes they just dont have a clue.

JeannetteM & Marcy - that really stinks! After hearing the comments about one per shopping trip all I did was one per trip. I suppose I should have tried 2-3 per trip like I normally do but I was so nervous to be shot down. I cant believe someone did 17 in a row -- that takes some serious nerve..and can really hold up the lines. If you are out there "17 girl"..try to do less at once please! We dont want the stores to hate us crazy couponers..lol.

I have been checking your site for a few weeks now and I LOVE IT! I am still a confused newby though and would love a breakdown on how the heck you did that. I guess I’m just a slow learner but a step by step would be hugely appreciated :)

What are "doublers"? I live in IL. Can I use them here or does it have to be at an Albertsons? We don't have them in this area.
