Ashleigh, my sister, is a novice couper
who refuses to buy the Sunday paper
(and therefore does not have any insert coupons)
..but she likes to do the deals and is able to print coupons from her computer.
So she asked if I wouldnt mind making a post for Newbies like her..that walk you through everything you need. Even if you dont have any insert coupons. Here you go Ashleigh :)
Step one..walk into Walgreens..lol just kidding. I wont be that basic. You are smarter than that.
*Try to get to the store Monday if possible to avoid all the goodies being sold out!*
1st transaction:
BUY:
3 jumbo packs of Huggies diapers (10.00 each)
2 Glade Scented oil sense & spray starter kits ($7.99 ea)
2 Glade lasting impressions (7.99 ea)
2 Sambucol if there are any left at your store (12.99 each)
=$87.94
Hand the cashier these coupons in this order:
2 Sambucol $4 internet printable coupons (-$8)
2 BOGO Printables HERE (-$15.98)
Those 3 huggies $5 printables I hope you printed. Link is HERE . (-$15)
Walgreens easy saver $10 sambucol coupon (-$20)
Walgreens easy saver $4 glade sense coupon (-$8)
Walgreens easy saver $4 glade lasting impressions coupon (-$8)
=total subtracted via coupons is $74.98
Total you will pay= 12.96 (if you have RR from last week use it too now) if not, pay 12.96 and you will get $10 RR back!

Buy 1 Colgate Total Toothpastes

3 questions:
1. I'm lost in the math. I don't get the same totals for transaction #1.
2. Are the diaper coupons specific to a certain type/size ... $3 vs. $5?
3. Any idea which tri-cities Walgreen's is most likely to have diapers in stock? And is coupon friendly? I don't make it up there until tonight.

Jeanette, I added the totals to the post so you can see what happens there. The $10 Sambucol coupon will automatically take off $20 because you are buying 2 of them (even though it says limit 1)
As for the diapers, technically you are supposed to buy the diapers that it says (Gentle Care or Natural Care) However, I know from experience that these coupons will work for any of the huggies types of diapers/wipes. They will not beep. You may/may not have a picky store clerk/mananger that may tell you you HAVE to buy the type of diaper listed. If they dont have any of the certain type I would go to another store and try this again. (Sometimes store clerks can be a pain)
3) I would try for the Pasco store on court street and 20th, I believe they had lots of diapers there last night still.
I would suggest however, since you live so far away to call the store and have them place your items on hold for you..Yes, they will do that! :) I wouldnt have them put your whole cart on hold..but the biggest items of course, like Diapers. That way if no one has them, you will not waste a trip.

Thank you!! I am glad to know I can put items on hold. So, do the coupons work for the pull-ups too? Or do I have to use the $2 off ones from the inserts?

My guess is that you can use it for Pull-ups. I would give it a try, if it beeps, you could say..oh maybe that coupon doesnt work with pull-ups, here is a regular pack. ? Good luck!!

I would totally do the two separate transactions at one store. I just separate my transactions..I tell the clerk "Hi! I have 2 different transactions." They are totally okay with that. It is okay to use the register reward you just got on the "next order". Good luck!!
