Annual Budget for Family of 6? Need your OPINION!

I have been following this blog where this gal has a yearly budget of $800 for a family of 4 for a year. It has been fun to see her keep a budget and see all the goods she brings home for cheap.

My little curious mind has been wondering...can I do a yearly budget like this and stick to it for groceries? Of course I have a family of 6 and a big dog so I would need a budget of around $1000 or $1200 for a year of groceries. Plus I am in a land of no coupon doubling so it would be harder for me than the other blogger. -It would also mean no useless couponing (by that meaning not buying stuff I really dont need just because its really cheap). Can I do this? Hmmm....

So what do you think? I dont know for sure if I can do it and I really dont like failure..but I really am curious about trying this...hmmmm..
